So I am back in Bangkok now after what seemed like the LONGEST journey ever from Koh Chang!
on Friday we got presented with our certificates so you will all be happy to know that they have let me loose with the little kiddies and im a fully qualified TEFL teacher!! (Yes I know… scary!)
the week on Koh Chang was amazing…. met so many nice people (even if they all did take the mick out my accent!) teacher training was awesome and have to say best moment was when my class finished and they went out to break singing head shoulder’s knees and toes!! Soooo good!
Had a free weekend so Saturday was just completely chilled, went out for dinner and a few drinks then got back to the resort. Was in the middle of a Skype conversation to Andy when an almighty storm hit!! LIKE HUGE!!!! we got stranded in the open restaurant for about 45 min and at one point we saw a fork of lightning come right down into the sea only about 400m away! was Scary!!
On Sunday we took a canoe out to a deserted island just off koh Chang, was very beautiful if not a bit strange!!
We then went on an elephant trek which was so amazing, we even got to swim with them then I got to ride where the trainer usually does!! Was wicked!!!!!
To finish off our last day in Koh Chang we got a canoe again and went for a night-time swim… this time bobbing along in the middle of the ocean watching the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen!! My life seems a bit surreal at the moment if I’m honest!!
So back in Bangkok for a while for a culture course…. then its off to Phrae for the real teaching to start…..
